Hi Dale, I hope everything's alright in your neck of the woods. We do remember the big blackout here a few years back- we were camping out on the balcony for a few days, making coffee and dinner on the Coleman stove. :)
Three trees came down on Bandana Man's property - one landed on the power meter on the side of their house - another one landed on one of the trucks...
Wow, Dale...that must have been awesome..! I love watching storms like that now although before SA, I was terrified of thunder storm. The mountains of Natal cured me and converted me!
BTW I thought Gypsy's pudds were inflatable...I need some of those over here...
that's taking things toooo far (rocks in annoyance)....i'm a boat, not a dyke or a yorkie! I've even got me own song...."six months in a leaky boat"..specially written for me it was
Hi Dale, I'm sorry you weren't able to get the picture I sent you through e-mail, but here's the link to the original location of it. http://oddsandsods.imdanet.com/strip1.htm Like I said, this comic relates to your last post about the question "Why?"
No...nothing to do with AC/DC...
ReplyDelete...except for the fact we had a power outage last night...
Oh, cuz I was going to say, AC?DCis th eanswer?!
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks pretty confident and convincing. So even if it's NOT the answer, it thinks it is.
Simon sang that he is the answer. : )
Sorry about the power outage. Was it ok though? Did it last a long time, or was it fairly short?
Last night a huge bolt of lightning dropped a 100 year old fir tree across the creek.
ReplyDeleteWe watched as it zapped the power lines & left us without electricity for hours.
Dale,
ReplyDeleteYou brought the music of Flash Gordon into my head. It may take me a while to forgive you for that.
-AM
AM - there is no excuse for Flash Gordon music.

ReplyDeleteThree trees came down on Bandana Man's property - one landed on the power meter on the side of their house - another one landed on one of the trucks...
I hope the wigwam was spared!
I love thunder & lightning, too, Gypsy.
ReplyDeleteJenny was just dancing on the picnic table when the wind blew up & the storm really broke.
We had just yelled at her to get down when the lightning struck & brought the tree down.
It was hugely loud with sparks flying everywhere - kind of like an AC/DC concert... but free.
...and in our front yard.
The power was off for only a few hours, AM.
ReplyDelete...but I do remember baking bread on top of the woodstove last winter when the power went out.
...like Gypsy's...

ReplyDeletedale you can use the bread as a door-stop..val my puddings would be more like anchors than floats..
ReplyDeleteYesiree Bob - I'm a Supertramp, just ask Gypsy.
ReplyDeleteVal - the storm was fantastic, but I think that'll stop me from asking WHY? any more...
Gypsy - my bread could pose as both door stops or anchors - depending upon the situation...
...notice my new Pete Townshend look.
ReplyDeleteI'm such a fickle one.
i like the new look very sharp and cool...underground...
ReplyDeletedale we could bring down governments with your bread and my yorkshires...the baking basques terrorist..
ReplyDeletedoes your pies fly like guided misiles bobsgirl?..the butler the baker the candelstick maker...
ReplyDelete..more like the cook, the thief and her lover.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good wishes, Dale. We're just about ready to go here in a few hours. Very late flight. I will miss all these shenanigans.
Cheers,
AM
Hi Dale,
ReplyDeleteI can't figure out the picture, but the lightning bolt looks similar to the Grateful Dead's deadhead symbol.
I forgot to tell you, I sent you an e-mail relating to your last post, did you get it?
Well if you think about it, lightening can cause a burning question. I think. A burning something anyway.
