Jenny got her cast off today!
Her leg has healed so well, that the doctor removed the cast and drew out the pins this morning.
Jenny is now resting comfortably, with only two small holes and a floppy foot to show for it.
Maybe she'll make it back onto her skis before Spring, after all!

Shouldn't this post be called unbreaking news?
ReplyDeleteYay for Jenny! I don't know if I'd let her ski this year- there is no worse time to re-break the same bone as when you're almost healed.

AM
lol Anne-Marie, unbreaking news...
ReplyDeleteFortunately, the nature and location of the break might allow it. She chipped the bone at the bottom of the tibia where it settles into the ankle joint. Therefore, a ski boot will help support it.
... but we won't push it.
:)
Wow, wonderful news! Hang in there Jenny, it won't be long now!
ReplyDeleteYou have been a very busy lady Dale! Cherish the "resting" moments as well as the rushed!
well wishes-
cherylann
so funny Dale, she just got the cast off and already you are wondering when she will be skiing again!! love it!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Dale and Jenny!! I'm sorry I'm so late here, I can't think where this week has gone, but I'm so pleased to hear Jen is well on the way back to the slopes!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs xxx
Ouch!
ReplyDeleteI trust things will be well now.
Our very best to you and family,
--Dan L.
Fantastic news on Jenny,Dale! So good to hear that she is progressing so well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments on my blog, I really love that song and the words, they really resonate with me these days. And yes indeed it is our age but we must look upon it as a lovely thing lol.
My how fast time flies by!!
Hi Cheryl Ann! I've missed you. As far as the "resting" moments go, I am so deliciously tired at the end of each day, I simply collapse into bed at night!
ReplyDeleteJenny has been itching to get out and on the go, Grace, but we'll take it one step at a time. No point rushing things, but she is very happy to be "cast off"...
Lol, Val! I can't tell where the weeks begin or end these days! You are always so busy, too!
Thanks, Dan, and we wish you all the best in return. I hope Cruz is resting well.
Mike, great to see you here! It's nice when we can relate to song lyrics and can carry them with us. As far as growing older, I feel improved with age! ;)
Thanks again to all for your well-wishes to Jenny. I will pass them along.
xx
Hi Dale,
ReplyDeletethanks for the good wishes. The same to you. I'm up with my London diary on my blog.
Good to read Jenny is going to be well. Think she had a lot of time to read some books.
Wish you all a fantastic weekend.
Love
Stefan
I can't imagine what it would be like having a cast on, I itch at the thought. Glad she's on the mend.
ReplyDeleteWe've been rather spoiled lately for movies. Netflix just signed on with Tivo, so we can stream unlimited selections of movies and watch one after the other, though, it's still fun to take an afternoon and camp out at the cinema.
Thank you for stopping by the blog and leaving a nice comment. :-) I bet the powder has been really excellent where you are.
Hi Dale,
ReplyDeleteI read the Clapton book, too. Was very frightened about is addiction to alcohol and drugs.
Love
Stefan
