New Post

I have been so busy out on the hill teaching skiing!
I get up at 5:30 a.m. and don't get home until 6:00 or later. I am mainly teaching children - from entry level to advanced intermediate skiers.
They are a blast!
But, after 7 hours of skiing, giving pointers, picking up, doing up, potty breaks, cold and fresh air, I'm pretty well knackered when I get home...
Ha! Then I have to make supper, next day's lunches, shower and do all the chores about the house that didn't get done because I'm out on the hill doing what I love best!

  1. No wonder you have no time to blog!! I'm so glad you're doing what you love Dale..that must make you feel really good. The chores still have to be done (I know that to my cost), but it must be so much more bearable when you've had a great day's skiing.

Tell us some tales from the hill! ;-)

  2. Hi Dal,

we have snow in Germany too and it's very cold. I havn't stood on a ski since years.

Can I send my kids to you and you teach both? Why you are so far away? We need a speed light racer.

    Have a good day.

    Love
    Stefan

  5. Val, it's a bit of a pinch finding time. I am lurking everywhere, but find no time to comment - nor even time to think of what to comment!
As far as the housework, errands and chores go, they might just have to wait till Spring...

Stephan, thanks for visiting! As I mentioned to Val above, I have been doing my rounds - and that includes your blog!
I would love to teach your children - and you!

    Hi Steph!
Jenny is doing fine and will have her cast off and the pins out in a couple of weeks. She is really missing swimming and skiing.
It's nice to be able to follow our dreams! ;)

Cheryl! Great to see you! I've heard it's been cold in London and all over Europe this season. I've been keeping up with you on your blog and on FB, too.

    Thanks, Everyone!
It's been loads of fun, so far, and I am going to be fitter than a fiddle by the time the end of the season rolls around! I'm already noticing my thighs and buns firming up...

We got first tracks in fresh powder the other morning!
    Wahoooooooo

  7. Hi Dale,

I stood on a ski since I was 6 years old. Later I drove to Austria every year first with my parants and my sister and later with friends, but now it's so expensive and I have no much free time to make holidays in the winter days.

    Love
    Stefan

  8. Hi Grace!
Let me know and I'll save you a spot in class... :D

Stephan, skiing is really expensive and caters very much to the wealthy.
    I have a saying:
    "I don't ski because I'm rich.
    I'm rich because I ski!"
We live very close to our ski resort and, because I'm staff, I get my pass for free.
