We have no snow here in the valley, Lesley, but lots higher up. That's ok with me! It's windy windy windy today and about plus five degrees. It's part of the big storm the Pineapple Express is bringing onto the west coast. Eight inches of rain forecast for Vancouver... yikes! You often get milder, more temperate weather in TO, don't you?
Reminds me of the time when I lived in Annecy. We never minded rain in November because we knew that it would be snow at the ski stations up high. Yeah, T.O. usually gets warmer temperatures - but we have had some pretty nasty cold spells too.
Eeek Dale! So much snow already, but then I guess you're in your element! This is really Dale time coming now, and I'm looking forward to seeing photos of you flying if not flinging down those slopes...of course in a much more elegant way than that truck in your photos here.
PS glad you liked my fireplace chimney committee. I am still chuckling over that now ;)
Val, that's higher up from where we are in the valley, along the road to the hill - no snow that stays here yet. It's about 500feet higher in altitude - I can see the snow line from my windows... And I plan on keeping my tires firmly planted, rubber side down, on the asphalt all winter!
And I think that email was the funniest - speaking of lost in translation!
Hello, It's been a while since I've been here, but I'm dropping by to see how everyone is doing. I'm at Livejournal now in case you want to get back in touch.
Lovely pictures! Snow is one of the things that makes winter great (I'm a summer person)
Yikes .... so much snow. You can gladly have it while I enjoy more days (hopefully lots of them) of green grass and temperatures above freezing ;-)
