FIVE THINGS

I never thought I'd be doing this on my computer over the internet.

1. I love mountain biking - that's me on the left and the cliff behind us...

2. I am a Level I English horseback riding instructor. I attained my certification over twenty years ago, but I am sure the same principles apply now - "keep a leg on each side and your mind in the middle"...

3. I am a natural blonde, but I do admit to helping it along over the past couple of years!

4. I do not consider myself particularly religious, but I am very spiritual.

5. Although last on this list, MY FAMILY COMES FIRST before anything else!
I am so lucky to have wonderful parents, a loving husband and three beautiful children!

  1. Hi Dale,

Wow, you're a horseback riding instructor? I love horseback riding, I did it in Greece for a couple of years when I was 10, but never continued. I don't know if it would be good for my back problems...

    It's fab you're a natural blonde, even with a little help ;o)
    Blondes have more fun!!!

  4. Hi Dale!

Oh beautiful pics!! Mine was crass so your can make up for it lol.

I didn't know you teach horseback riding. I learned when I was younger and still love to go, but would love formal lessons again as I lack a LOT of form and tequnique. So do you have horses?

Fab pics of the family btw!!

  6. Hi Dale
Isn't the internet a terrible thing?
You feed me discreet little tidbits about where you live and presto!
Just as well Google Earth gives low-res images of your region, or I could see your house.
Nice touch: when we come to visit we'll hire a boat at Pete's Marina.
    LOL

  7. Ha Ha Koos!

    You nailed it!

How about a cool drink at the Lakeside after we drop off the rented boat?
    LOL

I've tried to locate our house via Google Earth, but the image is rather 'foggy'. We do live in a remote & rural area.

It is also a tourist area & we have many international visitors to our valley.
Most are from Germany & Austria. We are not far from Banff, so we get a few sightseers from there, out on day drives through the mountains.

    No Dutch barges, though...

  9. Lovely tags Dale! Yes it was me that designed The Attic logo as well as the Basement and Attic Jam Logos. Ta! for being impressed!

I've got a spiritual nature that I can't seem to get away from with my posts lately! Oh well, gotta go where the spirit takes ya!

  10. Yep,
A trip in one of Pete's boats, what more can we wish!
Attention, at the moment of my writing the sun is going down behind your mountains.
You can check that here (webcam at the Lakeside Pub)
    Much love

  11. Hi Dale

I always pass your greetings on to MyVal, who has now started her own blog. So it's only natural that you are the first to know. Val writes one half of it, Sindy the dog the other, but that may change.
It shows clearly that Val is an English teacher (and that Sindy isn't).
I have permission to proudly present them: http://vereeniging.blogspot.com

Four times my face on one page; overkill lurks around the corner.

  14. Hey, I put a comment on here yesterday asking about the horseback riding, but now it's gone! Hmm - weird. I know the blog was having trouble yesterday, as I couldn't even get into mine - maybe that caused a disappearance??
