Ah. I like how you foloowed up your crush with your truelove. Very wonderful drawing. It's very satisfying for you isn't it, to be able to capture the essence of Pete with pencil and paper? Did you listen to his music while you drew it?
Hi Dale, The drawings are indeed fabs. Thanks for adding your views to my blog post. We are indeed the custodians of our children's future-I sure hope we don't disappoint them. Lively hoods. *giggle*
I love your style of drawing. It is very real looking and I know how difficult it is to draw that way. How long did it take you to do this? It is brilliant!!!
IS that the real Neil? I always wondered what he looked like.:)
Thanks for sharing this drawing. Hope there is more to come...
I think I figured out I put about 10 hours into it. Some of the time I spent doing the sketch was while we were camping way in the backcountry by a secluded lake. Very inspirational.
I think it is the real Neil.
Not too hard to look at...
I hope Neil doesn't see that comment - it might go to his head.

ReplyDeleteThanks PTfan & Neil
ReplyDeleteI did the follow-up on purpose, of course!
And you're right, it was amazingly satisfying to be able to capture Pete's eyes...
It has brought a smile to my face a time or two.
During the hours it took to draw the piece I listened to Empty Glass - over & over...
Neil, is that the real you?
