High School Concert 2009

Bobby - ready for his first concert performance.

Bob plays the clarinet and has his sights set on advancing to play the saxophone.

... you get the general idea!

  1. What a sharp-dressed young man. It is amazing how quickly kids pick up new instruments.

I also notice he goes to quite a sporty school, given the number of banners hanging on the gym walls.

  2. And Bob dressed himself, Anne-Marie!
All I had to do was, upon his request, hit the local thrift store to look for a blazer. Four dollars later... voila!
He also has an aptitude for music - it's his best subject this year.
Most of the banners are for cross-country and alpine skiing and snowboarding. Need I say more? ;)

  3. LOL Dale, I listened to the band playing. Enthusiastic it is indeed, bless them. Bob looked great! What a boon thrift shops are, aren't they? I frequent them myself and have found many a bargain.

Great that Bob has such a flair for music. I hope he keeps enjoying it for many years to come. It's always sad when young promise disappears as soon as the hormones raise their eager little heads. It does happen though.

  4. Yes Val, they were so dear!
I was incredibly impressed with the Stage and Concert Bands - grades 10 through 12 who have been playing for up to four years.
    Can't wait!
I hope Bob keeps it up - he enjoys it so much.
I wouldn't be without my little thrift shop!

  8. Dashing pictures of my delightful nephew! Did you know that I played clarinet and then sax in school? Of course I didn't pursue it as I never had the patience to learn when singing was so easy. Maybe Bob will follow in Glen's shoes.

I'll be off-grid on Christmas. Hope y'all have a good one.

    Love y'all
    Lesley
