Dreaming...

Discovering my newly-inherited, antique school bell in the hands of another...
Being late, due to a series of unfortunate events, for my first day of teaching on the mountain...
Skiing on lost skis, while wearing an ill-fitting ski suit, across a dwindling snowpack melting into asphalt...
Injuring my thumb when breaking a speedboat in half as we load it onto a yacht sailing upon a non-existent lake at the resort...
And making a stop, while on board, at the bar for a Guiness during the search for my son who had apparently been playing truant...

Waking up.

  1. Has the skiing season already begun? Perhaps your dream is telling you that it's time to go south. ;)

  2. LOL, Anne-Marie!

    No, it hasn't started yet.
I just attribute it to the new moon, and to the fact that I am not just a little bit nutty.

  3. ah, the ski season approaches.
You enjoy a Guiness Dale? Little dark and heavy for me, but a tip from a contractor friend, which I used this evening, is.....dark beer works for light scatches in wood, fills it in.

  4. Urgh, this sounds like dreams you typically get when nervous about starting a new job or new school!

  5. Lol, Dale...these sound like the sort of dreams I have when I'm a bit anxious about something, especially the ones like skiing on lost skis and wearing an ill-fitting suit! New moon madness sounds very plausible...and as for being a bit nutty, well I can relate to that too :)

  6. Isn't it amazing how in dreams everything makes sense...there are no boundaries to our credulity!

  7. Yes, it's fast-approaching, Grace! I've been watching the snow-making on the mountain for a week or so now.
And I only like Guiness when I have room for it - it's like a meal in itself!

You're right, Maria. But I'm not nervous - I don't think. It could just be anticipation for the up-coming season...

I know, Val! They seem to make sense as they are happening, but once awake and recalling them often reduces me to giggles. I have more often than not, had my most vivid dreams at the new moon.
Maybe it's our inner imagination trying to crack through the walls that society forces us to build!

  8. Dream? Are you nuts? ;-) I was thinking this is the list that time has stopped because if it were to happen, everything on it, there wound be trees.

Glad to see you posting and that you woke up!

  9. LOL Gina!

It sounds like you're a feeling the effects of your most recent dance with Hal.

Time must be standing still, as there are indeed lots of trees here...
