The second installment of my Who Concert post will be up soon.

I've been too busy falling off my mountain bike...

*That's not really me in the photo - I nicked it off the Web.

  1. I'm acutally quite good at jumping logs on my bike...

I only fall off around corners, on the flat or just standing still...

I think my pedal clips are too tight.

  3. Lovely intermezzo Dale!
My feeling about the legs exactly, look more like a man's legs.
Do you go out on your bike often these days Dale?

  4. I have been doing lots of riding lately - now that it's the end of the season...

Our Friday night ride is quickly running out of daylight!

Last Friday, as we were riding out of the trails in the near-dark, I saw three beautiful does on the hillside and stopped to talk to them - about 200 yards further down the track, I saw a momma black bear with two cubs...

    ... we kept on riding.

  7. I broke my ribs falling from my bicycle on a steep downhill at the ski hill during the summer of 2003.

I also have a big scar on my left butt cheek where I gashed myself on a gnarly stump upon landing.

  8. Dale,

I had to do a double take, but Lannio & Koos are right, those do look like a man's legs!

Last July 4th weekend Randy and I were camping and went for a short ride around the park. We were headed uphill for the entrance gate and I stood up on the pedals.

My right foot slipped off the pedal and the rest of me went left and down - in slow motion, of course!

Nothing was broken and there was no real harm done - just a nasty skinned knee and some other minor scrapes.

I blame improper footwear :( Note to self: Never wear sandals when riding a bicycle!!

  10. Dale said (a few posts down).. Our home is cosy with the warm scent of baking pies mingled with burning firewood from the stove.

You should cook for me Dale, our house has the scent of burning pies mingled with gas escaping from the new fireplace.

I used to ride dirt bikes until I was the hapless *rider/victim on the back* years ago. My driver decided to shortcut under a weeping willow tree. Couldn't see the ditch just inside it's weeping leaves. When they pulled the bike off my leg (sandy was thrown clear) it's tailpipe peeled off a nice (huge) chuck of skin along with it.

    Never rode again.

    Hi O Silver.

  12. Hi Dale,
I have a bicycle, but no time to ride. Here in the town it's not the best to go by byke. It's better to go by feet. Take care.
    Love and peace
