It has been minus twenty degrees for over a week now.
I have to ski today.
Not that it makes it any colder the longer it's cold...
It just won't go away!

  2. It is cold.
    I feel old.
I would like to see the spring,
And all the warm sun it will bring.

  4. Nobody knows
    how cold my toes
    how cold my toes
    are growing
    (pooh, circa 1920)

I wish we could have some cold clear weather here instead of all these violents storms and rain. It's been scary today...

    Your poor toes!

  6. In from the cold
    that's what I'm told
    But I feel bold
    and want to take hold

So I shall ski like a fiend
    with all of my bein'
As I roar down from higher
and then sit by the fire

  8. The weather was horrid
    all cold wet and torrid
    the wind it did howl
and the rain was quite fowl
so we rocked in our boat
    but we did stay afloat
    now thankfully it's calm
and to us came no harm
    ;-)

  10. Old Man Winter, he blows
    Howling breaths of pure cold
    Belching inches of snow
    As his winter storm roars

My sweetheart and I, we cuddle
Cozy and warm in a huddle
    With kids safe at home,
    We're all snug and warm

Ski trails will need broke in the morning!

  12. It's the snow
    ya know?
    It's cold
    I'm told

    If the feeling is gone
    And something seems wrong
    Get to the fire
    a place that is drier

When the sun shines too bright
    And it's affecting your sight
    Get out the big shades
    So the whiteness fades

    But all in all
When the snow forms a ball
    And your happy with fun
    takes every ski run

a poem, written by me, in the manner that the "great" hip hop and rap "magicians" do...anything goes... in 4 minutes, for Dale, the queen of flakes...of snow!

  16. There once was a skier named Dale
Who because of the cold she did wail
But not far down the road
    In a Wilmer abode
I too 'gainst the mercury did rail!

Ha ha! At least I didn't use Nantucket!
    :)

  17. Gypsy LOL! thats the best rap I ever saw!

    A mod derelicte from Nantucket
Wrote a rap about snow and the ruff stuff
She ran everyone down in orange suit and black boots
And when she hit bottom she............

...............stubbed her froze little toes and said *#^^%* it.

    (sorry, couldn't resist!)

  18. Some sort of absentee auditioner I am...

It's a tough go, but I think the rappers have wrapped it up.
...although I'd rather gag myself with a spoon, or poke myself in the eye with a hot needle, than listen to rap.

My weekend - that began last Tuesday it seems - was crazy busy, but fun!!
My entire body doth protest too much...

    ...it's the skiing.
