Yes, The Phoenix

There is a certain beauty to the aftermath of a forest fire...

  1. You're right Dale - there is great beauty here.

I'm glad you posted this picture - it's symbolic. I've walked though a lot of bushland after fires; days after, weeks after, months, and years after. The thing about forest fires is that very soon, signs of new growth appear. It's slow, and you have to look carefully for it in the early days amongst the signs of trauma and destruction, but the new shoots are greener than the old, and the forest gradually regenerates with a new vibrance, stronger, and teeming with new life. Much of the life that was there before also returns.

So - I hope things are moving along well with you Dale. I've not been blogging for quite a few days, but I think of you a lot.

  2. Most definetely. first being that it is out. and the beauty of nature that remains that was able to withstand the flames. Fire is so very scary. But sometimes it clears old growth leaving space for the new growth.

I hope you are well Dale, xx

  3. Yes, Dale, there is a calmness to the devastation that brings its own beauty. The image may be stark, but it has a stillness the preludes new life.
