Excuses...

I must apologise for my absence on these pages.

Alas, it is tax time and my days are taken up with getting others', as well as my own, taxes in order. I am working full-time during the day at my regular work and during the evening I have to get all my other business done. Not to mention those little things about the house that would rather pile up than disappear.
So, until things slow down a bit, I'll keeping swimming through this sea of paper work and I look forward to seeing you all on the opposite shore!

...hell hath no fury like the tax man scorned.

  2. Lol...Dale, I agree with Gypsy...it's a very taxing time indeed! I've just waded my way through my own piles of paperwork, and dumped the residue on my bookkkeeper's desk! It's people like you who keep the rest of us sane, so bless you! xxx

    "Abolish the tax, I say!"
...all that coming from a pugilistic cat.

And thank you, Val...if it weren't for your piles I'd be out of work!
    ...er, so to speak.

  4. You and me too Dale. I've missed everyone's news. Good luck with the taxman, on your own and others' accounts, if you'll pardon the pun.

I hate tax time - there's nothing like it for revealing the shortcomings in a domestic filing system. (That's two plastic in-trays and an old winebox in our case).

Hang on though - what line of work have you branched into so your income is now dependent on Vally's piles? I know I've been away, but what have I missed here?????

    Taxes! Arggg...!!

Are we still in England? Did we not land on these shores in escape?

    Arggg!

Why do we say "arggg", anyway? Are we pirates?

Thank you for your most fine and fun recent post, Dale.

Teach me...I too, will turn 51 this year, but I am not yet there. I am yet too young...the pacifier calls me still.

  15. Hi Dale, was good to see you on my blog, dear. Everything seems very quiet these days....maybe the heydey of the blog is over.

Everyone seems very busy doing other things, which is good, but I rather miss it, I must say.

Still, I'll keep popping by to see what you're up to..xx

And though all gave their best
    The subject digressed

  20. LOL Margie, the state of my bottom has taken on its own life!!

There once was a girl with a pile
so large and grotesque and so vile
    that when she sat down
    she yelped like a clown
and her howl you could hear for a mile
