SIX !

This is right there and right now at the top of the second chairlift at the ski hill!

It looks as though there's a bit of an inversion.
That's where the cloud sits low over the valley, but it's clear at higher altitudes - and often warmer.
As I am in the valley right now, it is cloudy with a few snow flakes floating down.
It's hard to imagine it's bright sunlight at the summit!

After work yesterday I went for tea at our local coffee shop/health food store.
(The shop is owned by a local girl who is now in a wheelchair following a tragic mountain biking accident just over a year ago - see my post "Spring and Infinity".)
As we sat there while sipping upon our hot beverages, our eyes focused upwards towards the peaks and all talk turned towards skiing.

There is most definitely a certain excitement in the air!

  2. Hi Dale,
I hope your little ones are feeling better!
Six is so close I'll bet you can taste the snowflakes. We just had sprinkles of hints of snow this morning, but nothing serious. It's mostly grey and blah.

I really love that picture with the light against the mountain and the low cloud. Beautiful.

  3. That's quite a lot of snow! Despite the big storm, we only had an accumulation of..well, hardly anything, actually. Anything we have is frozen into ice anyway. No skiing here yet!!

  10. One of my countdowns is finally over! My review regarding it is up on my blog. Interesting to note the differences and similarities between Anne-Marie and my reviews.

Didn't sleep much last night and still not sure my feet are on the ground. I know I emailed you last night but can't remember what I said as I was still reeling from the concert!

    Love ya!

  11. Hi Dale,
That picture looks cool! Snow is the only thing I like about winter. With all the plants looking dead and the trees having no leaves, everthing looks ugly, but then when the snow falls, everything looks beautiful again!

    Hope everyone is doing fine.

P.S. I left you a comment on your post about Roger being on CSI.

    It's about three days now.
It is very cold here but no snow yet. I hope it all goes to your ski mountain.

Hope your kids are doing better.
