SUNDAY SPRING SKIING

We are having our coffee before the fire this fine Sunday morning.
The children are still dreaming, nestled in their soft warm beds, but soon they will awake to greet the day.

The night came upon us, crisp and clear, with a million flickering stars set into a moonless sky. This morning has dawned with the promise of warm sun upon the snow.

What an excellent opportunity to take in an afternoon of spring skiing!

I couldn't resist this photo...

At least the arrows are pointed in opposite directions!

  1. Well, that photo pretyt much sums it up, doesn't it?

I wish I was still dreaming in my bed.I had to wake up too early today and yesterday.

My daughter is sick. She's had a fever since Friday. If she still has one in th emornign tomorrow I will have to take her to the doctor. Oh joy. Can't things just be normal for a little while? Sheesh.

On with my day. Enjoy your Sunday.I will too.

  2. Delightful description, Dale. I hope you'll go on writing like this.

Great pic, wonder if the people who set up the signs saw the humour of it...

Sweet you mentioned me to rachel&friends, I've sent them this: See More about the barge if you like.

  3. Brilliant signs, Dale! I love seeing things like that. Still, I'm sure it's comforting for people to know!

One of my favourite signs was in the Namib desert. There we were, standing in the dunes, and there's a triangular warning road sign just saying 'Sand'. They wreren't kidding!

I have a photo of it, so I'll see if I can scan it and publish it!. My other favourite was a sign advertising garden irrigation. it was for a company called 'De Wet'. Yep, it reall was!

Thanks for the smile again, Dale, and also for the lovely description of your Sunday morning.
    Take care, dear
    Love
    Val

  8. Hi Dale,
I love the signs. Me, personally, I'd put the hospital near the skiing. :)

Hope you're having a nice start to the week.

    Cheers,

  9. *LOL*! I love the signs - how ironic! For some of us (like me), it would be beneficial to have them pointing in the same direction. :)
