  2. lol Val!
I'm not much of a TV person anyway. I just got my cable service hooked up and I'm aghast at some of the drivel on the tube.
    "1000 Ways to Die"??
Give me a good stereo instead!

The storm last evening was pretty spectacular. We were cooling off in the lake when a huge black cloud began to build up overhead. We decided to head home before we got too wet...
The wind came up, knocking over my plants and sweeping the towels off the railings. Then a huge crack, like gunfire, split the air and we jumped - it came from the south part of Windermere and I wasn't sure what it was. A few minutes later the firetrucks left the firehall up the road and headed toward Tretheway Beach area - where George lives. The kids are with him this week and my heart leaped when I received a call on my mobile from George's - fearing bad news. It was Jenny telling me that lightning hit a tree by George's, that knocked the power out on that side of town when the tree came down.
Everyone was ok, but they had that part of town blocked off for safety reasons and the power stayed out down there for several hours.

    Nope, no TV needed here!
