Confused?

I have been staying up so much later than I usually do.
My mind is racing.
I have so much to say and so little time to say it.
Hence my weblog.
I have always wanted to write - but to just to get it out...
What do I say?
How do I say it?

I love Rachel for pointing me to this "blog" outlet.

I'm like an overflowing river - avoid a swear word right now - but it's like I've been freed - sort of.
...someone will read this eventually.

My blog is full of "stuff", but I look at it and think how manic I am - intellectually speaking to not-so-intellectually speaking...

...And I love it!
I guess that's me.

I know that when I embrace life, I don't have time to put it all into words and when I embrace words, I have no time to put it into life...

This is my personal paradox.

Not to mention the bloody mosquito that keeps biting me...

....now.

  1. Yes Dale, that's it. 100%!!

The funny thing for me is that I always said I didn't have time to write, but....

Not only do I make time to blog, I am also making time to write my African stories!!!

In a round about way, you could say...Rachel made me do it......hmmmmm.

Dale, you can use it for whatever you want, and it's all part of your creative safety valve, and since yours needs releasing - frequently - what you need is for us to share and enjoy and support too.
    Gotta dash now
    Luvz ya. Val xx

  2. Dale,
You expose the dilemna for us all: finding the time to do things, and the time to write about the things we are doing.

I'm also quite grateful for having found this blog world- it's been a great outlet for my writing, not just my formal fiction work, but my everyday musings. Just as importantly, though, it's allowed me to develop new friendships, and read the work of people I would not normally have encountered. All in all, it has broadened my world, in a very positive manner.

I think I am manic too, my dear. Getting the mind to quieten down long enough to sort through the overflow of thoughts whipping through it is a daily challenge.

    Cheers,
    AM

  4. just a thought dale..have you thought about putting that pesky mosquito on e-bay ..the mere threat of it might send him off...failing that you could dowse yourself in TCP...

  5. Just read your post again...first time was 7 this morning and I was doing the usual early morning stuff, so I couldn't really remember wy I said what I said!

I now agree with Anne Marie AND Gyspy, blogging has been such an boundary breaker for all of us, and your scribblings as you call them are part of your bursting creative rush. I think they're great...don't always follow, mind you, but then that's cos I'm a bit slow compared with you. :-)) but it's like watching an impressionist artist at work; you don't always see the pattern till the end.

You stagger me with both your wit and your intellect sometimes Dale. Just keep doing it the way you are, dear.

  6. PS. Mosquitos...yes, I forgot your mosquito....they are God's joke, I'm sure....nothing can be as worthless and despicable and pesky as a lone kamikazi mozzy...as Gypsy says, e-bay sounds like the best place for yours, although i fancy the bidding will be slow unless you can find a vampire who wants a pet...

  7. Many Thanks, Val, AM & Gypsy!

I value your opinions & it has made my day reading your responses to my impulsive post.

It was odd, but when I typed it up, I just let my fingers do the talking & take me where they might.
I did very little editing - but it's all there - in pink & black...

This blog has opened up a whole new creative black hole for me - another paradox.
I was often scoffed when I was younger for my crazy antics, but I never stopped doing them.

One thing I remember doing in my 20's, when I was working part time evenings pumping gas at a "Corner Gas" in Saskatchewan, was sliding on my bum in a fresh layer of snow in the parking lot.
My friend & I were having so much fun, but her boyfriend commented quite strongly about how "wierd" I was.
    It didn't stop me, though...

    LOL

The people I knew were hard-working farmers & oil patch workers. Earthy, but not very creative...
    There was always that distance.
When I moved to the mountains it was a breath of fresh air - both figuratively & literally. I was in my element, finally!

I have met some very special friends here in blogland, too!

    :)

  11. Hi Dale,

Even in trying to explin how to desperately get the words out, your words and phrases are beautiful. Your postings are always so free-spirited and eye-opening - I enjoy reading every one.

I think we are all manic about something...nothing to be ashamed of there! It would be a boring world if we weren't.....and I'd never go shopping. *L*

  23. Hi Dale,

Your blog is always an interesting place to visit. You do have a way with words, something I do not have.

I am glad that Rachel steered us all in this direction. It is a multitalented and very outgoing and lovable community we have here. I am pleased to be a part of it.

  33. Dale:

My PC is in the very center of activity in our house, and mostly on all the time. I also visit my favorite websites often at my leisure during my breaktimes on my job. There really is not much time in life to do all of this, but I squeeze it in very, very fast. Thus, so may typos! I have mostly (almost) given up on my sorry typos. I know you guys out there know what I meant to mean about what I meant...or what I mean...!

On the other hand, I very often give thought to my blog. No, not the sorry typos (I am forever reposting & editing the mess). I constantly take pictures all over the place to share what may be relevant. Much of what I photograph is silly, blurry, or dumb. The rest...becomes my heartfelt blog.

    I like yours.
