And the wedding was absolutely wonderful. Steph looked simply stunning in her dress and Tony is such a nice and handsome man - accented by his dashing suit.
The ceremony was held outside in Stephanie's sister's backyard beside a lovely, wild rock garden. The weather was hot and sunny, but we were shaded by the surrounding trees. A brief rainfall interrupted the afternoon, but not until after the nuptials were completed. It helped relieve the heat. The music was performed by a good friend of Steph's accompanied by her partner. They made a great musical duo, singing a variety of songs. The food was fabulous with the guests each bringing a dish of their choice. We brought pasta and potato salads. It was nice meeting both Stephanie and Tonys' families!
It sounds as if the wedding was a lovely mix of traditional and informal. I really like the idea of everyone bringing something for the food. A real shared event and a way to make everyone feel a part of it. Stephanie looks so very happy, and in the posts up to this date, she has sounded more and more at ease with her life and herself. This marriage really looks good on her.
