MURPHY

Our golden retriever, Murphy is not doing very well.

She hasn't eaten in two weeks and is on her last legs, I'm afraid.

Murphy is the kindest dog ever and we will miss her...

  1. Oh no!!!
    This is so sad.
It was 10 years after my dog passed away that I could tell her story without crying.
    I understand!
    I'm sorry.

  3. Oh! I know how you feel, I also had a golden retriever that we had for many years. He was a sweet dog, but unfortunately he had artritis so bad that he was suffering. We had to put him down.

    Take care.

  6. Murphy is 12 & is full of cancer, too.

Lumps, bumps & humps all over her poor body - it's a dog thing, this cancer.

I keep thinking I'll wake up one morning & she'll be gone.
In a way I'd prefer that she went on her own without suffering...

  9. Murphy passed away quietly this afternoon wrapped in her blankie in her favourite spot on the front seat of George's truck.

    The vet was kind.

She now rests wrapped in her blanket up the mountain behind our place. She has a view of the valley & she can hear the creek roiling by.
The same creek that descends into our valley & runs past our house...

    Rest in peace, Murph.

  11. Oh Dale,
I'm so sorry about Murphy. I know what it's like to lose a dog, and I know how hard this will be for your family.

You know she is running around somewhere in a field, free of her pain, like the great dogs that came before her.

My condolences to you and your family for your loss.

    Hugs and love,
    Anne-Marie
